Another Day - Another Dollar:

Update 25/May - following several weeks care & attention these puppies are now ready for re-homing

Ever wondered who really pays the price?

We'll show you who:

Unwanted

Unwanted

Unwanted

Seven unwanted American Bulldog puppies and their mum arrive in rescue. All had been kept in appalling conditions and were stumbled on by the Police during a raid on the house, windows had to be opened as the smell was that awful. They were signed over 'for disposal', the Police asked Rescue to take them all and their mum.

They are approximately eight weeks of age, filthy, thin, dehydrated, starving hungry and very pleased for some company, they are weak and veterinary treatment has cost £177 to get them back on their feet. Mum has sore teats and abdomen from the puppies frantically ripping at her for food, she is quiet, depressed and given up at the moment, but she has wagged her tail to a friendly voice and cuddle.

Three of these pups are fostered with EDDR and the other four are with the Staffiecross Welfare Trust.

Foster homes in the South are needed, if you are an experienced dog owner, around during the day and committed-please contact us for further details.

If you can't foster - you could still really help by sending a small donation towards their veterinary costs, or post a puppy treat, toy, chew, collars, lead or bedding.

Another Day, Another Dollar - it's the dogs who suffer, so please think long and hard before breeding and don't.

Rescue is in crisis, there has never been so many bull breeds in need of rescue placements, everywhere is constantly full with waiting lists of dogs desperate to come in, some rescues are on 'shut-down' for bull breeds as they have kennels full of them and simply can not take in any more.

Not enough homes are coming through - saturation point has been reached and many dogs are dying, dying as they have nowhere to go.
