The Endangered Dogs Defence & Rescue Ltd is not able to rehome all of its rescue dogs. We hold a non-destruction policy and pledge that the dogs left in our care will have a home with us for the rest of their days.

Not all rescue dogs are appealing, some are old, some have behavioural problems which make them particularly difficult to rehome, others may have been mistreated.

Some are registered under the strict terms and conditions as laid down by the Dangerous Dogs Act legislation. For them life is bleak enough, never knowing the freedom to run without leash and muzzle restrictions, stigmatized and turned away unwanted and rejected.

Fraggle

I’m a happy 10 yr old terrier cross, but I can’t bear to be separated from my friends, when left alone I often become very anxious and re-arrange the house contents. I live with lots of other dogs indoors and help break the ice with new rescue dogs. I survived major surgery 18mths ago. Cheese and sausages are my favourites foods.

I am about 12 yrs old and registered under the DDA. I was put in a dog’s home when I was 10 yrs and nobody wanted me until the EDDR took me in.

I am now living indoors and a lot happier and settled in. I like dog chew bars to help keep my teeth clean
and all kinds of treats.

Toby

I am a Shepherd x Rottweiler neutered male. I have quite a few behavioural problems due to a poor
upbringing and some horrible past encounters.

I am very lively, energetic and love to play with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. I enjoy long walks and have been undertaking lots of training and socialisation to help me.

I have a food intolerence and need a specific diet, I hope to find a good home if someone experienced will give me a chance.

Until then I have lots of people to interact with and love a good game with all types of sturdy toys and puzzles to keep me occupied. I also like big chew bones.

I’m registered under the DDA and had nowhere to go when my owner was unable to care for me any longer.

I needed an operation to remove a tumour and almost died from gastric torsion, but I survived thanks to the EDDR and their veterinary team who never gave up on me.

I’ve had great fun with the rescue over the past 2 years, I like slow walks, treats/chews & the company of other dogs.

I am about 12 yrs and also registered under the DDA.

I suffer from separation anxiety which made me difficult to originally home but I have a great life with the EDDR. I like to go for car rides and I love my food and playing with other dogs.

Huge chew bones are my favourite.

Lego

I’m an active 10yr old cross terrier. I’m a right handful & give everyone a run for their money!

The only time I ever sit still is too chew on my favourite toys, like my stuffed kongs. I don’t get on with other dogs & have been in and out of kennels all my life.

I like soft bedding, dental chew bones & rawhide sticks.
