A letter from some of our rescue dogs:

Santa, Please Stop Here!

Dear Santa,

We are the dogs who haven’t been able to find the right home this year, some of us are old, some of us have what they call problems, sometimes the right homes just run out and we wait and wait, so we stay here in a place called a rescue. We get nice warm beds and treats too!

We have all got together and written out our own wish list, because Bob the Staffie cross said that sometimes Santa does visit the unwanted dogs because he cares for them too! We know you are very busy this time of year and probably wouldn't have enough energy to get round to everyone, but we just wanted to say if you did have any time to spare and needed a rest, we will all be fast asleep as Bob said you have to go to bed and see what happens in the morning, we don't have a chimney but there is room for your reindeer.

Rescue woman said she is cooking us a special Xmas dinner and we are looking forward to that, some of us might even get lucky and find a home of our own next year.

We have all been good-well almost; some of us have had our ‘naughty moments’!  We have tried hard to do our best but it’s not easy being a dog that no one wants, but we promise to be on our best behaviour if you come visit and we have mince pies for you Santa, as long as BigBoy doesn't eat them all!

- giant sized roasted bone chew.

Amy the Staffie

– strong but girlie collar to look nice, 22inch neck

– durable chew toy, fleecy blanket

Toby the Shepherd cross

– Puzzle toy to work out e.g. Buster cube, big nylabone

Rodney – Bull Terrier cross

– strong chews sticks, rope toy

Blondie – Retriever cross

– Black large Kong, big rawhide chew

Dobey - crossbreed

- Durable chews, a rope toy

Sweetie - Shepherd cross

A ball, dental chew, any retrieving toy for fun

Trooper - Collie cross

A large kong and biscuits loved too!

Nellie and Twinkle (they couldn't get their photos up in time to show off their good looks too!)

American Bulldog and Bulldog cross - so not fussy as long as it bounces or tastes nice

Tyser and Sophie (last but please don't forget us Santa!)
